But in many cases, it follows them and shapes every aspect of their life -- from the way they parent to their relationships to their own sense of confidence and well being. For the past 30 years, our next guest has been working with successful adults who grew up in alcoholic and troubled homes, and she knows firsthand how just a little bit of information can open the door to breaking generations of dysfunction. It just so happens, this is National Children of Alcoholics Week. Szifra Birke, author of "Together We Heal," therapist and executive coach, stopped by the FOX 25 Morning News with more on this topic.
